TO S’ACQUA CALLENTI
Having arrived near the Sabadi district we go along the Riu S’Ollastu
before leaving the jeep near a spring where, very close by, one
can pick out the Arcu Pintau nuraghe and continue along a path
which enters the heart of the state forest.
The track carries on below a thick wood of strawberry trees and
phyllyrea which create a thin carpet of dead leaves among which,
in autumn, it is easy to find pore mushrooms.
Along the path one can visit a completely restored charcoal pit
used as shelter. The beautiful panoramic views, the various springs
of very pure water which rise out of the hard granite rock and
the splendid cascades along the Rio S’Acqua Callenti never
cease to amaze us.
